Kyoto Izakaya

Kyoto Izakaya offers an amazing Japanese dining experience! The sushi was incredibly fresh, chicken wing is delicious and my kids really love the beef udon. The service was prompt and friendly, and the ambiance was calm and inviting. A must-visit for Japanese izakaya lovers!

Came here on mother's day. Luckily I made reservation prior coming, it's full house. This is my second time here, back again for he good food! Their dons are nice and all the skewers taste great. Iberico pork jowl is yummmmm Love the atmosphere there, even though bbq-ing but the smoke is not too bad! They have ladies' night on Wednesday which if there's 3 or more ladies, they will free a mug of highball for each! Definitely worth a come back for this restaurant!

Finally, an Izakaya restaurant in Ipoh! Starting with the food: the pork collar skewers were served first. While they were well-grilled, I found them slightly too salty, and I'm sensitive to the porky taste. The next dish was the mentai tamago—beautifully made with a delicious sauce. Following that was the fried yakisoba, which had a hint of authentic sourness. The final dish was the goma lady fingers, offering a classic Japanese flavor. Overall, the food tasted good, but the serving sequence felt a bit off. In terms of pricing, it leans toward the expensive side, but that's common for Japanese restaurants in Ipoh. As for the service, it’s very much in line with Japanese hospitality. You're greeted warmly upon entry and exit, and the servers are polite and quick to respond. The dishes were served promptly as well. The atmosphere is excellent—very clean, from the entrance to the tables, chairs, floor, and even the toilet. Great job on maintaining cleanliness! The ambiance brought back fond memories of dining at an Izakaya in Japan. A note for the owner: considering you may have a large crowd, offering a pot of tea for those ordering tea might be a good idea, as it could save time on refilling individual glasses.

We really love the Japanese bbq skewers, we can feel that the chef is experience to control the food quality, the skewers of pork, chicken, prawn is well cooked and taste good. The environment of this restaurant is good and comfortable especially after a tiring day. The staff are polite, helpful and good service. In front of the restaurant has plenty of parking. We definitely will recommend friend and come back again.

de taste is great. even is a buffet, but they still give hearty portions. thr is a slim, tall-ish waitress wf glasses there, she’s super friendly and gives great service.

Lunch offer RM9.90 for garlic fried rice set or curry rice set. Very delicious. Service was good and friendly, we are lucky enough to have free food too, thanks alot. Price is value for money.

Food is quite good and suitable for those who prefer light dinner or drink beer & snacking. Portion is quite small & for the pricing wise, this is consider quite expensive. Anyway, we are quite satisfy with the food here.
